Why Upod is needed
Every website wants your personal data. Every click is tracked. Personal data is collected, stored and traded, often without your knowledge or consent.
This isn't how the internet was meant to be. A healthy internet respects people, rewards trust and gives you real choice.
Dutch Data Store Foundation
Since 2022, the SNDK Foundation (Stichting Nederlandse Datakluis) has been driven by one simple but powerful idea: people should be in control of their own personal data. Not platforms. Not advertisers.
Together with experts, scientists and developers, the foundation built software based on Solid, the internet protocol that gives people control over their own data.
This research and development was partly supported by European Union funding.

Utonomy B.V. is the commercial organisation behind Upod, making sure your personal data stays with you. They help businesses integrate Upod into their websites and services.
